December 1 thru 31 Matt Jagitsch , Feature Wall

Art is something both old and new to me. As a kid I was always drawing. I loved anything that had to do with creating. I went on to Eastern Illinois University, where I was an Art major with a studio option and an art history minor. After college, I got married, started a family, and began a job in a non-art related field. Drawing and painting slowly faded from my life and stayed gone for 28 years. Enter Covid. The down time from Covid shutdowns gave me a reason to begin creating again. I began working with white pencil on black paper soon after and here I am, 2 1/2 years later. Today I have created over 200 pieces and shown live throughout Illinois as well as many national and international online exhibits. Everything happens for a reason. Apparently, I just needed a 28-year hiatus to find my niche.
