What is CMAAA?
CMAAA is an acronym for the" COLISEUM MUSEUM OF ART, ANTIQUES and AMERICANA FOUNDATION", an Illinois not-for-profit corporation and Federally tax exempt 501(c)(3) public charity. What is CMAAA’s Mission? The mission of CMAAA is focused on the organizing, operating, convening, holding and displaying items of art antiques, Americana and history; having permanent and rotating exhibits of and presenting programs regarding such items; displaying and making available items of local not for profit organizations, including education and programming of same and establishing a recording studio, all in the Coliseum in Oregon, Illinois. Who was involved with the formation of CMAAA? The concept and formation of the CMAAA foundation has involved the foresight, dedication and work of representatives from the City or Oregon, Community School District #220, Oregon Park District, Serenity Hospice & Home, Village of Progress, Oregon Public Library, Oregon Depot Museum, Ogle County Historical Society Museum, Chana School Museum and other community leaders. Who leads CMAAA? The day to day operations of the Foundation will be under the leadership of an Executive Director. The governance of the Foundation will be the responsibilities of a representative from each of the founding agencies, plus additional community members. |
Where does CMAA get its funding?
The initial funding was provided by the Lawrence Foundation. Future plans include revenue generated from the City and by the CMAAA Executive Director who will seek funds from grants, corporate sponsorships and private donations. What has CMAAA Accomplished to date?
